How many rest days do I need?
Most trainees thrive with 2–4 weekly sessions and rest or easy days between hard efforts — plus 48 hours before repeating the same lifts.
What should I do on rest days?
Walk, stretch, sleep well and eat normally. Rest days are for recovery, not penance.
Is soreness a good sign?
Mild soreness is normal when training is new; persistent sharp pain, swelling or one-sided pain needs professional assessment.
Do I need supplements to recover?
No — sleep, protein-rich food, fluids and rest days cover nearly all recovery. Supplements are optional extras.

A Note on Trust
Recovery guidance is general fitness information. Pain that is sharp, persistent or one-sided — or any worrying symptom — deserves professional assessment, not self-diagnosis.
